SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A former Richmond Hill police sergeant accused of bribery and sexual misconduct appeared in Bryan County Superior Court on Wednesday for arraignment on a new indictment.

Robert Littlejohn, 56, is indicted on charges of bribery, violation of oath by a public officer, three counts of making false statements, and unlawful access to criminal history records — all felonies.

Court appearance

The hearing lasted only a few minutes. Littlejohn entered a not guilty plea and requested a jury trial.

He remains out of jail on his original bond of $10,000.

Allegations

GBI investigators said Littlejohn used his position as a sergeant with the Richmond Hill Police Department to offer to have a victim’s criminal charges dropped in exchange for sexual favors.
