Feature film ‘Girl’ filming in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The feature film “Girl,” starring Maddie Ziegler, Jason Isaacs, Luke Newton and Sofia Wylie, is currently filming in Savannah.
IMDB lists Destry Allyn Spielberg, daughter of Steven Spielberg, as the director of the mystery thriller.

Film Savannah shared that “Girl” is filming in Savannah July 27 through August 21.

Ziegler, known for her role in “The Fallout” and series “Dance Moms,” is not new to the Savannah area. She attended the 2023 SCAD Savannah Film Festival, where she was honored with Entertainment Weekly’s Breaking Big award.
Ziegler recently shared pictures on social media including scenic Spanish moss and the iconic Forsyth Park fountain.
Newton, known for his role on “Bridgerton,” has also shared pictures on social media amid filming.
Director Destry Spielberg shared behind-the-scenes pictures and a video of the actors on set.
