Fatal crash shuts down White Bluff Road near Savannah Tech
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 8/18/2026] City officials confirmed a woman died in the crash. We’re told three vehicles were involved in the crash. We’re working to learn more details as the crash remains under investigation.
[UPDATE 8/15/26 AT 9:30 p.m.] A WTOC crew saw two cars involved in a collision, one heavily damaged on the front side, blocking traffic on White Bluff Road near Savannah Technical College.
The Savannah Police Department and Chatham County Sheriff’s Office was seen responding to the incident.
White Bluff Road was blocked off for several blocks, forcing cars to divert around the area.
Multiple tow trucks responded as well.

[ORIGINAL STORY] A large police presence was reported outside Savannah Technical College, according to WTOC crews on scene.
Authorities taped off the area and diverted traffic near the campus.
