Drone assists search after boat capsizes in Wilmington River

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Chatham County Fire and the U.S. Coast Guard recovered an unmanned boat from the Wilmington River after crews responded to reports of a capsized vessel.
Fire crews were dispatched at 9:54 a.m. to the river near OSCA Road, according to Chatham County Fire.
During the search, crews deployed a drone to get an aerial view of the area. The department said the drone helped cut the search pattern in half.
Fire crews assisted the Coast Guard in recovering the vessel.
No injuries were reported.
