Dave Turley’s First Alert Weather forecast for Wednesday, October 7, 2026

Lots of clouds with northeast winds continuing today. This will keep many coastal concerns with higher surf and seas, rip current risk, and beach erosion. There is a slight chance for showers mainly south of the Altamaha River. Coastal flooding possible around the evening high tide cycle. We keep it mostly cloudy but drier Today and Thursday. Rain chances begin to increase again Friday into the weekend. Saturday is a FIRST ALERT WX DAY! Tropical Gulf moisture will move over the area this weekend as we watch Isaias make landfall Friday night along the central Gulf coast. This would bring us a good chance for rain Saturday with wind gusts to 35mph. There is a slight chance that storms could produce brief tornadoes. Make sure to have weather alerts turned on. As Isaias pulls away and weakens Sunday our rain chances decrease. We’ll see some scattered showers through Sunday afternoon but computer models have been trending drier for Sunday night. Monday looks much better and warmer with temps back in the 80s.

Tropical Outlook: Tropical Storm Isaias is forecast to become our first hurricane of the season Thursday. Isaias will strengthen to a category 2 Friday and make a landfall along the central Gulf coat Friday night.
