High pressure will impact our weather into Thursday. We’ll see lots of sun, low afternoon rain chances and hot temps. Highs will be in the mid 90s with heat index values up to 106. Any showers and storms should end by midnight. Tropical Storm Bertha in the Gulf will move generally westward with no impact on our area. A cold front will stall over the area late Friday into the weekend. This will bring more clouds and better rain chances. Highs drop back to the low 90s by Saturday. The front shifts northward Monday and Tuesday with lower rain chances and hotter temps.

Today will be partly cloudy with a 10% chance for showers and storms, highs in the mid 90s.

Tonight will be mostly clear, lows in the mid 70s.

Thursday will be partly cloudy with a 20% chance for showers and storms, highs in the mid 90s. Heat index values up to 108.

Tropical Outlook: Tropical Storm Bertha is located over the northern Gulf. This system will slowly move to the west along the Gulf coast before weakening over Texas Friday.
