Thursday starts out dry but scattered showers and storms develop this afternoon. Highs warm back into the low 90s with heat index values around 105 for some. The remnants of Arthur will continue to weaken as it moves east-northeastward but the moisture should impact our area by Friday morning. Scattered showers and storms expected Friday morning and rain may be briefly heavy at times with gusty winds. A cold front stalls and dissipates near the area Saturday into Sunday. This will keep a chance for afternoon showers and storms this weekend. Temps heat up next week with highs in the mid 90s Monday through Wednesday with mainly afternoon rain chances.

Today will be partly to mostly cloudy with a 60% chance for showers and storms by mid afternoon, highs in the low 90s.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance for showers and storms, lows in the mid 70s.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with a 70% chance for showers and storms, highs in the mid 80s.

Friday night will be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance for showers and storms, lows in the low 70s.

Saturday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a 40% chance for showers and storms, highs near 90.

Tropical Outlook: Post Tropical Storm Arthur is located along the Texas/Louisiana coast. The low will continue to move generally to the east-northeast over the Southeast into Friday. This will bring rain chances to our area mainly Friday morning.
