High pressure continues this week as a stationary front remains just to our west. This will allow temps to heat up well above average again. Highs expected in the mid 90s with feels like temps possibly up tot 108 for some. A Heat Advisory is in effect for coastal counties until 8pm. Afternoon rain chances increase today and should help keep our temps a little cooler. A cold front moves in late Saturday and pushes south of the area Sunday. We’ll see scattered showers and storms Saturday afternoon into the early evening. Highs will be in the low 90s with a heat index up to 105. Rain chances decrease Sunday and Monday with highs in the mid 90s. Rain chances increase again Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the low to mid 90s.

Tropical Outlook: Low pressure is located several hundred miles north-northeast of the Azores. There is a 20% for this system to become subtropical or tropical over the next 7days as it moves towards Portugal and Spain. Weak low pressure is located a few hundred miles east-southeast of Bermuda. There is a 20% chance for tropical development as the system drifts west-southwestward through Sunday before turning north next week.
