High pressure will be the main weather feature into the weekend. This will keep our rain chances low and our temps hot. A Heat Advisory is in effect until 8pm for all inland counties and an Extreme Heat Warning for all coastal counties. Highs reach the mid to upper 90s today with feels like temps up to 114. Most areas remain dry but isolated storms may produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds. Any rain chances will end around before midnight with daybreak lows in the mid to upper 70s. Saturday through Thursday are First Alert Weather Days due to extreme heat. Temps begin to warm even more with highs reach the upper 90s to low 100s with feels like temps close to 115 for some. A cold front moves in later Saturday before dissipating Sunday well to our north. This will bring a few extra clouds with a slightly better afternoon rain chance this weekend. Temps will depend on how when rain/storms begin in the afternoon. First Alert WX Days continue next week as temps heat up to the low 100s with heat index values around 115. Rain chances remain very low Monday. Another cold front approaches late Tuesday into Wednesday. This front also looks to stall north of the area so our temps remain hot.

Tropical Outlook: A tropical wave(Invest 92L) is producing lots of showers and storms located about 650 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. There is a 30% chance for tropical development as it moves slowly westward into the Caribbean Sea over the next 7 days. A tropical wave(Invest 94L) is located several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. There is a 50% chance for tropical development over the next 7 days as the system moves west-northwestward.
