Collins, Ossoff US Senate debate: How to watch on Atlanta News First

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — In November, Georgians will decide if Democrat Jon Ossoff will be elected to a second term on Capitol Hill, or if U.S. Rep. Mike Collins will become the newest member of the world’s most exclusive club.

Ahead of the election, Atlanta News First and Gray Media are giving voters a chance to hear from both men in a televised debate.

When is the debate?

The debate will be on Thursday, Oct. 8. The debate will be at 7 p.m. at Assembly Studios, Gray Media’s state of the art production facility in Atlanta. The debate will be an hour long.

What else do I need to know about the town hall debate?

The debate will be moderated by Atlanta News First anchor and On The Record host Rick Folbaum.

The debate will follow a standard format with questions from a panel of journalists on key issues facing Georgians. The panel is made up of ANF statewide reporter Abby Kousouris; WTVM anchor Roslyn Giles; WRDW anchor and investigative reporter Will Rioux; WTOC anchor Mike Cihla; WALB anchor and reporter Moriah Norman; and Telemundo Atlanta anchor Adhemar Montagne.

There will be a one minute opening statement from each candidate. A coin toss ahead during ANF’s pre-debate coverage will let the winner choose first introduction or first response.

Along with the debate, Atlanta News First will also produce a dedicated 30-minute pre- and post-debate programs.

“On the Record: Live,” hosted by political reporter and On The Record host Doug Reardon, will serve as the pre-debate show at 6:30 p.m. and the post-debate analysis airing immediately following the debate at 8 p.m.

Both special editions of On The Record will also air and stream live on Atlanta News First.

There are several different ways to watch the debate live on Oct. 8.

The debate will be available on demand on ANF’s streaming platforms following the live showing.

How can I watch ‘On The Record: Live?’

Both editions of On The Record can be watched the same way as the town hall debate above. These editions will not stream on ANF’s social channels.

Is the debate airing across Georgia?

Yes. The debate will also air on Gray Media stations across the Peach State.
