Chatham County’s Summer Splash returns with free family fun Saturday

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Families looking for a free way to beat the summer heat can head to Retha Mae McCoy Park this Saturday for Chatham County Parks and Recreation’s latest Rec n’ Roll Summer Splash event.

The free community event takes place Saturday, June 27, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Retha Mae McCoy Park, 240 Riverview Drive.

Children and families can enjoy waterslides, hands-on STEAM activities and sweet treats during the 90-minute event.

Summer Splash is part of Chatham County Parks and Recreation’s Rec n’ Roll Series, which brings free neighborhood events to parks across the county throughout the summer.

The remaining Rec n’ Roll schedule includes:

  • July 11: Wilmington Island Park, 2401 Walthour Drive
  • July 25: Bona Bella Park, 2778 Carmel Avenue

All events are free and run from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
