Chatham County man indicted on felony murder charges in April crash that killed two

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Chatham County grand jury has indicted a man on two counts of felony murder and additional charges stemming from a police pursuit that resulted in two deaths on April 23, 2026.
The indictment, filed July 8, 2026, in Chatham County Superior Court, charges Quadramel Trellion Williams with felony murder in the deaths of Habibullah Azizi and Trejon Anthony.

Charges
According to the indictment, Williams was driving a vehicle in an area with a posted speed limit of 25 miles per hour when he allegedly drove more than 20 miles per hour above that limit and refused to stop after law enforcement gave him an audible and visual signal to do so.

The grand jury charged Williams with causing the death of Azizi by causing a collision between his vehicle and Azizi’s vehicle while fleeing law enforcement. A second felony murder count alleges Williams caused the death of Trejon Anthony, who was a passenger in another vehicle involved in the collision.

Williams also faces a charge of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute. The indictment alleges he unlawfully possessed methamphetamine with intent to distribute on or about April 23, 2026, in violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act.
