Chatham County DA to host 2026 Community Resource Fair

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) — District Attorney Shalena Cook Jones and the Eastern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office will host its third annual Community Resource Fair on Friday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Savannah Impact Center, 2005 Waters Avenue, Suite 500.

Officials say residents should be aware of what appears on their criminal records, just as people are encouraged to review their credit reports. Records can include traffic-related matters and more serious criminal charges. Negative information on a criminal record can create barriers to employment, public assistance, education and military enrollment, according to the DA’s office.

Resources available at the fair

The 2026 fair will include a Record Restriction (Expungement) Clinic for individuals who may qualify under Georgia law. Attorneys and participating professionals will help attendees understand whether eligible arrests or criminal history information may qualify for restriction or sealing.

The Georgia State Board of Pardons and Parole will have representatives available to answer questions about prior felony convictions, pardons and available next steps for returning citizens.

The Division of Child Support Services will provide information about child support, access and visitation services, and options for eligible noncustodial parents seeking reinstatement of a suspended driver’s license.

Refreshments will be provided, along with activities for children accompanying parents or guardians.

Event details

The Community Resource Fair is free and open to the public. Services are first come, first served. Attendees should bring a valid photo ID and proof of Chatham County residency.
