Bryan County Schools investigates incident between staff member and student at Richmond Hill Primary

BLACK CREEK, Ga. (WTOC) - Bryan County Schools is investigating an incident involving a staff member and a student at Richmond Hill Primary School.
District officials said they became aware of the situation Monday, Sept. 14. Administrators immediately activated safety protocols, notified law enforcement and reported the incident to the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services.
Following an initial review, the school district took what officials described as appropriate personnel action. Officials did not specify the nature of the action or identify the staff member or student involved.
District leaders said strict privacy laws and the active status of the investigation prevent them from releasing further details at this time, but emphasized that Bryan County Schools is fully cooperating with investigating agencies.
“The safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority,” the district said in a statement. “We take all reports concerning student safety seriously and will always act swiftly to protect our school community.”
