Bryan County NAACP to host 2026 Freedom Fund Gala

ELLABELL, Ga. (WTOC) - The Bryan County Branch of the NAACP will host its 2026 Freedom Fund Gala next month, bringing community members and leaders together to celebrate advocacy, equity and service.

The annual event is set for Saturday, Oct. 10, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Hendrix Park Gym at 3960 Wilma Edwards Road in Ellabell.

This year’s keynote speaker is U.S. Rep. Henry C. “Hank” Johnson, Jr., who has represented Georgia’s 4th Congressional District since 2007.

Organizers say the gala will recognize individuals advancing equity and justice in Bryan County while raising support for the branch’s community efforts.

The evening will include:

• Community leadership recognition
• Scholarship support and fundraising
• Dinner and fellowship
• Live entertainment
• A celebration of NAACP service and community impact

Tickets include dinner and the evening program. General admission is $75, while reserved tables for eight are $600.
