Bridge dedication to honor Huxsie Scott at Savannah State University

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Huxsie Scott will be honored with a bridge dedication at Savannah State University on Monday.
State Representative Carl Gilliard will host the ceremony at 10 a.m. in Savannah State University’s Edna Branch Jackson Ballroom.
Gilliard sponsored the resolution naming the State Route 204 bridge over the CSX railroad in Chatham County the Huxsie Scott Bridge.
Gilliard wrote online that Scott “has served Savannah and the nation extraordinarily well.”
