Beaufort agencies to pack 300 food boxes for Greg’s Groceries

BEAUFORT, S.C. — The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and Beaufort Police Department will partner with Serve & Connect to pack 300 Greg’s Groceries boxes for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

The event will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Walmart Supercenter, 350 Robert Smalls Parkway, Beaufort, SC 29906.

About Greg’s Groceries

Greg’s Groceries was founded in 2017 to honor fallen police officer Greg Alia. The program has provided more than 29,000 boxes of non-perishable food to individuals and families in need, in partnership with more than 80 police agencies.

The program’s goal is to provide a resource to law enforcement to create opportunities for positive, non-enforcement interactions between officers and community members, while fostering an environment to enhance trust and address food insecurity in their community.

How to get help
