SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Beach Institute African American Cultural Center will bring together nonprofit leaders from across Coastal Georgia later this month for a networking event focused on collaboration and community impact.

The Freedom Fighter Mixer is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Beach Institute, located at 502 E. Harris St. in Savannah.

The invitation-only event is designed for nonprofit CEOs and executive directors serving Chatham County and surrounding coastal communities. Organizers say the mixer will provide an opportunity for leaders to build relationships, exchange ideas and identify ways to work together to better serve the region.

“Leaders working together can move faster, reach farther, and create more durable change,” said Jay Jones, executive director of the Beach Institute African American Cultural Center. “This mixer offers an intentional opportunity for executive leaders to connect, exchange ideas and align efforts that serve our communities.”

Organizers say collaboration among nonprofits is especially important as communities across the coast continue addressing evolving needs. The event is intended to encourage partnerships that expand resources, reduce duplication of services and improve outcomes for residents.

Light refreshments will be served.
