Baby boy safely surrendered under Daniel’s Law in Dorchester County

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — A 7-pound, 10-ounce baby boy has been safely surrendered under Daniel’s Law in Dorchester County.
Officials at HCA Healthcare Summerville accepted the infant on Saturday.
The baby was born on October 1.
Under the Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act, a medical evaluation was completed, and the infant has been placed in a licensed DSS foster home.
A Permanency Planning Hearing and Termination of Parental Rights Hearing will be held on Thursday, November 12.
