AC restored at brand-new Hampton Co. High School after brief malfunction

HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - The Hampton County School District said the air conditioning was restored and operating properly following a malfunction.
The district said Hampton County High School staff arrived Monday morning, August 17, to find several air conditioning units not functioning properly.
They said a technician was contacted and responded promptly to the issue. While they fixed the issue, fans were distributed throughout the building.
The brand-new building opened for the first time last Monday, August 10.
“Administrators conducted door-to-door check-ins to ensure the well-being of both students and staff. All air conditioning units were restored and operating properly well before lunchtime,” they wrote.
