Zane Smith aims for another strong finish at Phoenix
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - After two top-ten finishes at Daytona and EchoPark Speedway, Zane Smith and the No. 38 team hit a road bump at COTA with a 33rd place finish.
Even with the one poor finish, the No. 38 team is sitting at 14th in points after three races.
“I feel like just having a good start to the season is so important, especially with this new format where every point matters,” said Zane Smith, driver of the No. 38.
Overall, Smith and the No. 38 Team are exceeding expectations and would be doing even better if they weren’t involved in an on-track incident in Austin.
Smith’s attention is now on Phoenix, where he captured a top-ten finish last spring.
“I feel like the easiest thing to look at is just momentum is so important in this sport. It just breeds confidence and the whole team gives you depth. And man, that’s what we’ve been living off of,” said Smith.
