Young teen killed in hit-and-run in the area of Glade and Ferguson Sunday night

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - A 14-year-old boy is dead after a hit-and-run in the area of Glade and Ferguson. Police are asking for help identifying the vehicle involved.

Chatham County Police said they are investigating after an incident left a young teen dead Sunday night. The boy was riding an electric bike when he was hit by a vehicle at around 7 p.m. Sunday night, according to police.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they do not have a description of the suspect vehicle, but say they are using forensic investigative techniques to identify it. CCPD is asking for the public’s help to give them any home surveillance or doorbell camera footage that may be help the investigation.
