Woman arrested after leading Jasper County deputies on chase with child in car
JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - An attempted traffic stop led to the arrest of one woman after deputies say she led them on a chase with a juvenile inside her vehicle.
In a media release WTOC just received, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office says they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the morning of December 23, 2025, but the vehicle failed to stop and fled.
During their pursuit of the vehicle, deputies say they confirmed a juvenile was inside. They lost sight of the vehicle in the area of Sand Hill Rad and B & C Landing in Jasper County, at which point many more deputies responded and conducted a search of the surrounding area.
Officials say the vehicle was then located backed into a wooded area. Deputies detained the driver and identified her as KeAndra Jenkins. The juvenile was evaluated and cleared by EMS, and was released to a family member.
Jenkins is facing the following charges:
- Failure to Stop for Blue Lights
- Child Endangerment
- Possession of Marijuana
