Why your GPS might be wrong in Estill and how to fix it
ESTILL, S.C. (WTOC) - If your GPS isn’t working right in Estill, you aren’t alone.
Hampton County E-911 Director Tinish L. Bryson-Smith said address corrections and updates are being worked on across navigation, postal, and delivery services in the Town of Estill, but the process is taxing and tedious.
Bryson-Smith said residents can help by reporting incorrect address points and street names through Google or Apple Maps and inputting corrections. Residents who don’t know their updated address can contact Estill Town Hall for assistance.
“This is all new to me but know that I am committed to doing as much as I can to move this process along as efficiently as possible,” Bryson-Smith said in a social media post. “With your help we can get more done.”
The director said public safety and accuracy in addressing remain top priorities. She acknowledged resident frustrations, especially during the holiday season, and said she is working to provide resolutions.
“I appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation,” Bryson-Smith said. “I hear your frustrations especially with the holiday season amongst us and I am diligently working to get you resolutions, but remember, I am still only one person.”
