WTOC Top Teacher: Taylor Meadows

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - “I teach math, science and social studies. But I take any opportunity to teach them anything. I did tutoring when I was younger and in high school, and it’s always something I’ve looked forward to. I enjoy it everyday. Not that it’s not stressful but I do love it. I definitely don’t ask them to be perfect, I just want them to grow. It’s definitely challenging, especially since I am big on tough love. Especially with this grade level, teaching them responsibility. So sometimes they can’t really see that I am not just being mean but I’m, doing what’s best for you. I want them to be happy. I want them to be ready, be productive members of society. I have a file folder, where I keep all of there notes they give me. Sometimes when I am having a really difficult day, I will open that up and I will read all of their kind notes to me. It pushes me to get up and keep trying.” said Meadows.
