WTOC Top Teacher: Kim Griffith

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - “I just want to inspire children. I did go to Springfield Elementary. I can relate so much to these children sitting here. The best part about teaching is a dream come true. It’s what I wanted to do since I was a gifted student at Springfield Elementary. I wanted to be just like my teacher. And really I grew up getting to do what I dreamed of. So I have the pleasure of knowing these students multiple years. So some of theme I’ve taught as young as first grade. Some are with me all the way from first through 5th grade. So over the year, I get to know them, to know their parents, families, So We definitely build relationships, hopefully, that they know how much they mean to me. I always want to treat them like I treat my own child. I hope that they know that I love them. And that I want the best for them, and that I get them 100%, I hope that they know that. I’m doing what I am called to do,” said Griffith.
