Vehicle fire temporarily shuts down I-95 North at Exit 87 Thursday morning
RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WTOC) - A vehicle fire temporarily shut down all lanes on I-95 North at Exit 87 Thursday morning, according to the City of Richmond Hill.
The Richmond Hill Fire Department said they responded to the vehicle fire at around 8:07 a.m.
The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the incident involved a single semi-truck that caught fire, which appears to have been caused by a brake-related issue.
Law enforcement said the situation led to a couple of minor, secondary crashes involving onlookers, primarily fender-bender type incidents, also non-injury.
No injuries were reported, according to fire officials.
