UPDATE: Savannah shooting leaves woman, child injured

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - {UPDATE: 4/5 8:50 a.m.} The Savannah Police Department responded to a shooting in the 300 block of E. Henry St. Saturday night that left a woman and a child with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to the scene around 10:35 p.m. Saturday and discovered the two victims hurt inside a home. The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.

ORIGINAL STORY: Saturday night, just before 11:00 p.m., a large police presence was seen at Henry Street.

Right now, Lincoln Street is shut down between Anderson and Henry.

Multiple Savannah Police vehicles, at least 5, can be seen along that stretch of road. People are advised to avoid the area at this time.

Officers are seen by WTOC crews taking pictures of the scene and near the roadway. Officers at the scene would not confirm any details yet.
