UPDATE: SPD confirms three people hurt after a shooting in East Savannah
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Three men were injured in a shooting that occurred at E. 33rd Street and Live Oak in Savannah. Savannah Police said they responded to a call about a shooting around 2:40 p.m. on March 3.
SPD reported three men were injured in the shooting and expected to recover. EMS confirmed that all three victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators said the cause of the gunfire has not yet determined, and no suspects have been identified. Alderman Detric Leggett said he’s tired of gun violence like this plaguing the community.
Every time we see a scene like this, it’s disgusting. But one thing I’m proud of, that we have police officers that quit and they came to the scene. We had our shot spotters that are in the area that picked up on this type of thing.
