UPDATE: Fire crews respond to fire at Smokey’s BBQ
GARDEN CITY, Ga. (WTOC) - [Update 7:06 p.m.] The Garden City Fire Rescue reported responding, with the help of the Port Wentworth Fire Department, to a commercial building fire near Augusta Rd. and Minus Ave.
Fire officials reported they extinguished the fire within 7 minutes.
According to a social media post from the Fire Rescue, units arrived on scene to find visible smoke and fire.
[ORIGINAL STORY] WTOC crews are on the scene at Smokey’s BBQ, where local fire fighters extinguished a fire.
One building appears to be heavily charred.
We’ve reached out to local authorities for more information. The restaurant owner said no comment.
