Fuller, a former Lookout Mountain district attorney, won the seat outright in an April runoff following March’s special election, and he will fill out the remainder of Greene’s term through December.

But now Fuller is fighting to win his own, full two-year term.

Fuller will now face the man he defeated in April, Democrat Shawn Harris, on Nov. 3, 2026.

Democrats are hoping Harris’ stronger-than-expected showing against Fuller last month will result in flipping one of Georgia’s most conservative congressional district.
