U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Savannah helicopter crew rescues 71-year-old kayaker
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Savannah helicopter crew rescued a 71-year-old kayaker stuck in the marsh Thursday, near Village Creek Landing.
According to Coast Guard, the 71-year-old woman was separated from her group. She was safely hoisted by the crew and taken to St. Simons Island Airport with no reported medical concerns.
