Tybee Island police seek two suspects in elderly theft case

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) -Tybee Island police are searching for two suspects in a fraud case involving tens of thousands of dollars stolen from two elderly victims.

Detectives have already made two arrests in the case and are asking for the public’s help in locating the remaining suspects.

Ami Renee Zampi, 49, is wanted for theft by conversion and two counts of financial exploitation of a vulnerable elder person. Police describe her as a white female, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds with blue eyes.

Philip Barnard George, 43, is wanted for theft by deception. He is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Both suspects may be traveling with another woman and two children, according to police.
