Tybee Island police seek 2 people seen on video after suspected gunshot Saturday night
TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) - Tybee Island police are asking for the public’s help identifying two people seen in video after an unpermitted pop-up event was reportedly interrupted by the sound of gunfire Saturday night.

Over the weekend, Tybee Island police said there was an unpermitted, pop-up event involving hundreds of people around the pier and pavilion. During the course of that event, officers said they heard an undetermined amount of shots fired, and the crowd began to scatter.
Multiple agencies responded to the island and an investigation began.

Tybee Island PD reviews 911 calls
Police said after reviewing 911 calls and video, detectives confirmed audio they believe to be a single gunshot. Based on the sound’s close proximity to the pier and the crowd’s reaction, investigators believe it may have originated from the beach below.
In the video, police said, two individuals can be seen emerging from the darkness beneath the pier and pavilion near the end of the footage. Detectives believe the two may have information relevant to the investigation.
