Tybee Island Police collect 107 stuffed animals for children experiencing illness
TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) -The Tybee Island Police Department collected 107 stuffed animals through a holiday donation drive led by their very own K9 Rocky.
The “Really Rockin’ Christmas” donation drive gathered brand new plush toys from community members. The department will turn over the stuffed animals to Hugaroo, Inc.
Hugaroo, Inc. gives the toys to children who have experienced life-threatening illnesses, traumatic events or are at risk.
The police department said the community helped make a positive impact in the Coastal Empire.
