Two people killed in Christmas Eve shooting on Captain Bill Road

JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left two people dead on Christmas Eve.

Deputies say they were dispatched to the 900 block of Captain Bill Road in Ridgeland where they found one person with gun shot wounds.

He was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

During the incident, a suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment but he died from his injuries.

A second suspect was taken into custody and has been arrested and charged with murder.

That person was identified as William Andricka DuPont, 35.

The shooting investigation remains active and ongoing.
