Two men shot after striking parked vehicle on Christmas night, police say

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Two adult males sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds Christmas night after striking a parked vehicle and being fired upon while fleeing the scene, according to the Savannah Police Department.

Officers responded around 9 p.m. to reports of two injured adult males at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 46th Street. Police determined the victims, while driving, had struck a parked vehicle near 48th Street and Burroughs Street, were fired on, and fled.

While fleeing, the victims struck an additional unoccupied vehicle and sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were given initial aid and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Investigation continues

The Savannah Police Department is investigating the incident as an aggravated assault. The investigation is ongoing.
