Authorities arrested Lance White and Natalie Chaneyfield, both residents of the home, and charged them with unlawful possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

A sawed-off shotgun is a firearm that has been illegally altered by shortening the barrel—typically to less than 18 inches—making it easier to conceal and maneuver. Possession of such a weapon is prohibited under state and federal law.

During the investigation, detectives also determined that White is federally prohibited from possessing firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has been notified and is assisting with the case.

Items seized during the search included:

  • a sawed-off shotgun
  • a red AR-15–style firearm
  • a Draco-style firearm with a loaded magazine
  • live ammunition of various calibers
  • several loaded and unloaded magazines
  • firearm storage boxes
  • body armor
  • numerous miscellaneous firearm accessories

The investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities emphasized that all individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
