Two arrested in armed robbery linked to online marketplace deal
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Police Department arrested two men in connection to an armed robbery that happened Feb. 3, 2026, in the 2000 block of Tuskegee St.
At approximately 3:05 p.m., SPD responded to a report of an armed robbery on Tuskegee St. After initial investigation, officers determined the incident had occurred during an online marketplace exchange. No injuries were reported.
Officers say Tyquan Floyd, 20, and Ryan Scott, 18, were both taken into custody the same day.
Floyd and Scott were both questioned after being detained.
Following questioning, both were charged with armed robbery. Scott was also charged with aggravated assault.
“When doing these marketplace transactions, never do them at home,” said Sgt. Joshua Flynn, SPD Public Information Officer. “Pick a safe place, like a police precinct parking lot. The Savannah Police Department offers all of our locations for you to do so during regular business hours.”
Sgt. Flynn also recommended electronic payment for online marketplace transactions, as carrying cash could be unsafe.
The investigation is ongoing.
