Trial date set for Oglethorpe Mall shooting suspects
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A trial date has been set for the suspects in the July 2025 Oglethorpe Mall shooting in Savannah.
The trial for all six suspects is scheduled to start Sept. 21 with Judge John Morse, according to court records.
Six men are facing serious charges in connection with the shooting that left Tina Smith dead.

The trial scheduling comes one day after all six suspects appeared in court with their lawyers, where both sides argued pretrial motions. One of the main issues discussed in court was whether criminal gang-related evidence outside of the 71-count indictment should be allowed.
