Toombs County Sheriff’s Office gives update on home invasion investigation

UVALDA, Ga. (WTOC) - The Toombs County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update in the investigation of a reported home invasion of an elderly female on December 9, 2025 at 1171 Currie Road in Toombs County.

Officials say that since that date, investigators have continued to actively work on this case. Based on the information provided by the victim and evidence at the crime scene, investigators have not been able to substantiate that a crime occurred.

The Toombs County Sheriff’s Office says the victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment and was released several hours later. She is expected to make a full recovery.

“Since the investigation remains active, no additional details can be released at this time,” the sheriff’s office says. “Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact investigators at (912) 526-6778 or (912) 526-9292.”
