Time running out for free tax help in Savannah ahead of April 15
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - As the April tax deadline approaches, free help is still available for residents who have not filed.
The Neighborhood Improvement Association is continuing to offer tax preparation through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA, program on the final Saturdays of tax season.
The organization says the service is especially critical for those expecting refunds from 2022, who must file by April 15, 2026, to claim them.

Officials say they are still assisting clients at their Savannah location on Skidaway Road and encouraging walk-ins for those who need help before the deadline.
