Thurmond Lake boat ramp to temporarily close for repairs starting Feb. 10.
MCCORMICK COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - U.S. Army Engineers and J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake project officials temporarily closed the Parksville boat ramp beginning Feb. 10, 2026.
These repairs are said to target damage caused by Hurricane Helene and associated impacts from cleanup efforts. Project officials said repair work will take approximately two days. They speculated the ramp should reopen by Feb. 12, 2026.
