Three teens arrested in Vidalia shooting
VIDALIA, Ga. (WTOC) - The Vidalia Police Department (VPD) have arrested three teens in connection to a February shooting in the area of Lang St.
VPD says Brenton Farmer, 17, of Dublin, Christian Wideman, 17, of Vidalia, and Wendell Simpson, 17, of Vidalia, were arrested and charged with the following:
Farmer:
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
- Conspiracy to Commit a Crime
- Discharge of a Firearm Near a Public Roadway
- Possession of a Handgun by a Person Under the Age of 18
Wideman:
- Conspiracy to Commit a Crime
- Party to a Crime
Simpson:
- Conspiracy to Commit a Crime
- Party to a Crime
VPD says the arrest was made possible through the help of the Dublin Police Department who took Farmer into custody. Wideman was arrested by the Patrol Division of VPD and Simpson turned himself in later at the Toombs County Detention Center.
