Teen arrested in connection to fatal North Gate Drive shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A teen was charged with murder and taken to the Savannah Regional Youth Detention Center after a fatal shooting on North Gate Drive. Savannah Police tell us the teen arrested is at least 13 years old and has no relation to the female victim.

Officers responded to the scene at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday on reports of a shooting. Once officers got there, they discovered a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The woman died at the scene.

Police said they located the suspect near the scene and took him into custody. He was charged with murder and transported to the Savannah Regional Youth Detention Center.
