Swainsboro teacher arrested on sex counts involving students

SWAINSBORO, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A Swainsboro High School teacher has been arrested on sexual allegations connected to a student or students, according to authorities.

Angel J. Oliver was arrested and booked into jail this week, according to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office.

She’s charged with three counts of improper sexual conduct by an employee, according to the agency.

Superintendent Dr. Denise Warnock issued this statement Friday afternoon:

“Upon receiving allegations involving an employee and students, the district promptly notified law enforcement and placed the employee on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The district has been informed that an arrest has been made. The individual is no longer employed by Emanuel County Schools.”
