Suspicious package found at Consulate General of Israel office in Atlanta identified as shoebox
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A suspicious package was found Monday at the Consulate General of Israel office in Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
Police said officers are investigating what was found at the office, which is on Spring Street NW.
Police cleared the scene around 1:50 p.m.
According to police, the package was “a shoebox containing a household item.”
Atlanta News First reached out to the Israeli consulate to learn more. A spokesperson declined to comment.
