Suspect in custody after reported carjacking in the 1300 block of West Bay St.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - One man is in custody Monday after reports of gunfire in the 1300 block of West Bay Street (Nancy’s Seafood), Savannah Police say.

Officers with the Savannah Police Department responded quickly to the scene and detained a suspect, authorities said.

SPD has a suspect in custody for a carjacking that took place in the 1300 block of W. Bay St. at around 4:40 pm this evening. Anyone w/ info should call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or use the mobile app.

Police say the incident stems from a carjacking.

There are currently no known injuries.
