Students wait in line for 36 hours for SCAD Savannah Film Festival tickets

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Over 1,000 students waited in line to get tickets to the SCAD Savannah Film Festival.

Students started lining up on Wednesday evening and the ticket line opened at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. Students get discounted ticket to evening screenings and free tickets to daytime events.

Tickets for the general public went on sale at 10 a.m.

The SCAD Savannah Film Festival recently announced a list of this year’s honorees including Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, and Jennifer Lopez.

The film festival released more honorees ahead of ticket sales on Friday. Those honorees include Spike Lee, Kristen Stewart, Amanda Seyfried, and more.
