STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - The Statesboro Festival of the Arts returns next weekend with two days of creativity and family-friendly entertainment in downtown Statesboro.

The event takes place Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Market at Visit Statesboro. Admission and parking are free.

More than 70 juried artists from across the country will showcase paintings, ceramics, metalwork and wood pieces. Artists were selected through a blind jury process evaluating originality, artistic quality and technical skill. This year’s adjudicators include Georgia Southern University metalsmith professor Christina Lemon and Augusta University painter Cyndy Epps.

Attendees can enjoy live artist demonstrations, hands-on children’s art activities, food trucks, acoustic music and opportunities to meet and purchase artwork from participating artists.

The festival also received a $5,000 grant from the Georgia Council for the Arts to support awards, marketing and expanded programming.
